The Exerpeutic 1200 is among the most affordable exercise bike for home you can have, specifically if you’re in short of storage space.

Featuring a folding design, this bike is space-efficient and can fit in narrow storage places.

Despite the folding design, however, the Exerpeutic 1200 doesn’t lack the essential components, and it comes pretty much with anything you would expect from a basic fitness bike like those in these upright exercise bikes reviews.

But is the Exerpeutic 1200 right for you?

Read on our Exerpeutic 1200 review below to learn.

What Makes Exerpeutic 1200 So Awesome?

1. Foldable

The selling point of this upright bike is the folding design.

The Exerpeutic 1200 Folding Bike, like its name suggests, can fold up and store away quickly.

When folded, this bike can “shrink” to ½ of its original footprint, which is quite an incredible element, especially for users where space is premium.

Once folded, I found it easy to transport and store the bike in a closet and sometimes, even under a bed.

2. Pulse Feature

Sure, the pulse feature is standard in many upright bikes. However, it’s a novelty among the budget options bikes, and more importantly, the folding bikes.

With the pulse sensors in place, it’s easy for you to monitor your pulse, while ensuring that you’re in your target heart zone just lie the most accurate heart rate monitors around today.

However, I’ve to admit that the pulse sensor on the Exerpeutic 1200 is not one of the most accurate sensors, but the price, I still think it’s a bargain.

3. Stable Construction

Despite a measly weight of 39 pounds, the Exerpeutic 1200 is surprisingly sturdy.

When working out, this upright bike doesn’t wobble around; instead, the leg stabilizers prevent the bike from tipping over.

Unique Features That Make Exerpeutic 1200 Interesting

Design Built and Construction

The solid steel frame construction on the Exerpeutic is sturdy and durable.

The frame doesn’t skimp on performance, and here, you can expect your upright bike to last you for a lifetime.

Even better, the steel frame is bolstered with a thin coating that will act as a protective agent against the elements.

While we don’t, by any means, recommend leaving your upright bike exposed in the outdoors, it’s reassuring to know that the coating will help to promote the longevity of this bike.

Handlebar

Unfortunately, the handlebar is non-adjustable, but the good news is, it comes with several crucial features.

For starters, I love the foam padding that enhances a comfy grip.

Secondly, the handlebar is designed with a multi-grip holding position that often results in multiple posture workout possibilities.

The best part of the handlebars is they’re integrated with a pulse sensor that allows the correct measurement of your heart rate.

Adjustable Seat

The seat design on the Exerpeutic 1200 is ergonomic and comfy.

For starters, it’s refreshingly large, and so, easy on your buttocks and your back as well, and when in use, you’re less likely to experience any pain or soreness.

Further, the seat features soft padding, and so, it’s easy on you and enhances the overall comfort.

Finally, the seat is adjustable, though vertically, or to be specific oblically.

Now, each adjustment distances you between the pedals and the handlebar.

Generally, the adjustability increase the versatility of this bike, and it can accommodate users between 5’3″ and 6’2″.

Of course, while it’s still possible to work out on this machine even if you’re taller than 6’2″, you won’t benefit for a maximum leg stretch.

Pedals

The pedals are designed large and can take any foot size.

For safety purposes and a firmer grip, the pedals feature a safety strap that will avoid slippage of your feet.

That said, this bike is an upright model, and so, it’s not designed for high-intensity training. As such, the pedals won’t allow you to work out on a standing position.

Resistance Levels

The tension of the Exerpeutic 1200 is adjustable, and with eight tension levels, it’s easier for you to tailor your workout regimen.

Braking System

The Exerpeutic Magnetic system is based on a magnetic system that features a high-torque three-piece crank system.

Like any other magnetic system, the drive train on this bike is seamless in operation and quiet.

When in use, this bike won’t interfere in any way with your music you’re listening to during your workouts.

Tracking Console

The tracking console captures all the crucial performance metrics, including time spent working out, speed, calories burned, and pulse.

Uniquely, it has an odometer, a function that lacks in many budget bikes, and it helps in indicating the total distance traveled.

What We Liked About Exerpeutic 1200 Folding Magnetic Upright Bike

  • Space-saving: Exerpeutic 1200 doesn’t take much room when in use or storage. When in use, it only requires 19 by 31 ins.
  • Efficient Workout: With a magnetic resistance, the pedaling on this bike is fairly fluid, and the resistance is smooth, devoid of any jerking.
  • Portability: The Exerpeutic 1200 comes with transport wheels, making it easy to move around.

What We Didn’t Like About Exerpeutic 1200 Folding Magnetic Upright Bike

  • Not ideal for high intensity: They say to get what you pay for. The Exerpeutic is not suited for the high-intensity training, rather for the medium to lightweight training. While it might be good for regular fitness enthusiasts, it might not be a solid option for serious fitness enthusiasts.

Bottomline & Verdict

There’s so much to love about the Exerpeutic 1200.

While I agree it’s not a heavy-duty option, it offers more than sufficient workouts for users who are simply looking to stay fit, lose some weight, and develop a healthy training regimen.

Even better, the low admission tag is what makes the Exerpeutic 1200 even more desirable.

  1. I am looking for excercise bicycle that I can use. I have inseam ( measurement of leg extension from crotch to foot) my inseam is 27 inches. So I have to have a stationary bicycle that my foot can comfortably reach without me having to sit on the edge of the seat.
