Unfortunately, the Exerpeutic is an older model, but in this post, we’re going to review one of the newer models in the market.
I’m talking about Efitment E005.
Though the Efitment E005 is a predecessor to the newly launch Efitment E006, I still think that this model has unique properties that the new model can’t match.
But we’re not here to compare the models; let’s dive straight into our Efitment E005 review, and see what this mode has in store for us.
What Makes Efitment E005 So Awesome?
1. Compact Design
One of the unique components of the Efitment E005 is the compact design.
Even though it doesn’t sport a folding frame, it comes in a small footprint that only takes 34.5″L x 24.5″W and therefore, you should have no problem storing it in a small room or apartment.
And since it’s a rather compact fitness machine, it’s equally not heavy, and with the frame assembled, it only weighs 63 pounds.
2. 8 Levels of Magnetic Resistance
With adjustable resistance, it’s easy to switch up the intensity of your workout with a convenient tension knob.
With a simple twist, it’s easier to increase or decrease your resistance so that your workout remains challenging and effective throughout your fitness journey.
3. Generous Stride Length
With a compact stride length of 11”, the Efitment E005 offers the perfect balance between functionality and compactness.
I find the stride length compact or smaller spaces, yet, the textured non-slip footplates will accommodate users of all sizes.
Better yet, the textured footplates are non-slip, and so, they’ll provide you with a firm grip and ensure you have a safe footing even during the most vigorous and demanding workouts.
- Weight capacity: 220 pounds
- Weight: 63 pounds
- Dimension: 50 x 23.5 x 62 in
- Resistance: 8 levels of magnetic resistance
Unique Features That Make Efitment E005 So Interesting
Efitment E005 has a solid construction that features a steel frame that is coated with anti-corrosive and rust paint.
Though not quite a heavy machine, the frame has a generous weight capacity of 220 pounds. Sure, the weight capacity is a bit on the lower side, but considering the lightness and what you’ve to pay for the machine, you’ll see it’s still a bargain.
Moving on, the base framework features rounded rear and front steel stabilizer bars, and this helps to improve the overall stability and sturdiness of the machine.
Better yet, the stabilizers are designed in a floor-friendly manner, thanks to the presence of rubber caps on each end. In my opinion, though, I would recommend that you still consider placing the machine on a protective rubber mat for outstanding stability and prevent sweat from spilling on the floor.
Like a majority of the elliptical machines, the Efitment E005 features two sets of handlebars that provide a versatile workout regime.
The first pair in the fixed handlebar that comes with HR sensor embedded into them, so that when you grip them, you can monitor your heart rate.
The second pair is the mobile handlebar, and typically, this handlebar is suitable for those who are looking forward to engaging their upper and lower body.
The mobile handlebars are fixed on the pedals, and so when you move, they equally shift and will help in promoting a total body workout.
Both sets of handlebars are padded with a soft rubber material, which enhances comfort while providing a more secure grip.
With this unit, you’re able to work out for extended periods without wearing out, experiencing slippage, or even developing blisters in your palms.
As we had earlier indicated, the pedals on this elliptical machine are large enough to accommodate most of the foot sizes.
For safety purposes, the manufacturer has incorporated an anti-skid design that will prevent your feet from slipping off during your workout.
To begin with, the drive system on the E005 is a rear-drive elliptical trainer.
With this type of drive system, the elliptical path is slightly inclined forward, and so, pedaling on this machine is akin to going down a soft ramp, which is a plus, especially for individuals who are looking to focus more on their quads and tibial muscles.
The drive also consists of a perimeter-weighted flywheel, whose weight has not to be specified. However, since the machine isn’t heavy, we don’t expect the flywheel to be heavy either, but still, it should be enough to provide a decent momentum.
More importantly, however, the flywheel and the entire drive system offers a smooth and noiseless operation. With this machine, it’s easy to workout without bothering others. Additionally, it’s also easier to listen or catch your favorite TV show without amplifying the volume.
The E005 runs on a manual magnetic resistance system, with 8 levels of resistance.
The trainer’s motion is smooth, and steady, even when engaged at the highest level. This is because the resistance is frictionless, and there’s no wearing of parts.
What We Liked About Efitment E005
- Compact and Lightweight: Efitment E005 has all the properties you need for easy storage and portability.
- Basic Console: A frills-free model, the Efitment E005 console is quite basic, and will give you a glimpse of all your performance metrics.
- Efficiency: Generally, the performance of this model is smooth and noiseless, and it will set you up for optimal performance.
- Comfort: Sure, Efitment E005 might not have the comfort-features we see in the higher-end models, but when in use, it doesn’t feel uncomfortable either.
What We Didn’t Like About Efitment E005
- Not heavy duty: The overall resistance efficiency is on the lower end and might not impress the advanced athletes or anyone who might wish to experience an extremely challenging workout.
Bottomline & Verdict
Efitment E005 is a basic, frill-free model that will appeal to beginners and intermediate individuals.
While we appreciated the 8 levels of magnetic resistance, we feel that it leaves a lot to be desired, especially in terms of resistance.
Either way, this model excels at what it does, and for the target demographic, it’s a God-sent offer.
